University of Cologne: AI in astrophysics

Through WestAI, a research collaboration between Forschungszentrum Jülich and the University of Cologne has made new findings in astrophysics possible. Together, the scientists investigated massive star forming regions with the help of AI. Various neural networks for processing spectral data were developed and evaluated. The technical and scientific support provided by WestAI played a crucial role in this.
